Laptop for Tag:Dell

Dell’s slimmest laptop ever still isn’t shipping out to eager consumers, but at least the Win7-packin’ Adamo XPS is now configurable over on the outfit’s website. The base $1,799 configuration includes a 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo SU9400 CPU, a 128GB solid state drive, 13.4-inch WLED panel, 2 megapixel camera, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, GS45 integrated graphics, WiFi and a USB Ethernet adapter. Unfortunately, hardly any of the components are upgradable, but there are a few select upgrades available for those with the cheddar. The scary part? That December 22nd estimated ship date. Better spring for overnight and cross those toes!

  • We knew Dell was planning on a whole range of Inspiron Z-series machines way back in August when we previewed the line, and it looks like the 13-inch model is finally ready to join the already-launched 11, 14 and 15 — in Australia. Yep, the Z-series has gone live Down Under, and the Inspiron 13z is part of the lineup, starting at AU$1,199 (US$1,106). More of this gadget »

Well, would you look at that? With Dell’s 0.39-inch thick Adamo XPS just days from hitting virtual store shelves, the high-end Adamo Desire is undergoing a minor face lift… on the inside. More of this gadget »

The Round Rock powerhouse has definitely worked with the lads and ladies at AT&T before, but never before has the company’s bargain-priced Vostro 1520 been available with WWAN. Until today, of course. Starting right now, users interested in picking up the 15.4-inch rig can add an AT&T 3G module for $125, More of this gadget »

New Adamo XPS image takes a stand

Remember that wild hinge we saw on the Adamo XPS at Dell’s characteristically all-too-brief showing last week? The company’s gone ahead with yet another side pic, this time showing how the hinge pops out. More of this gadget »

Oh, Dell. The laptop maker piqued everyone’s interest for 30 seconds this morning with a glimpse of the upcoming Adamo XPS, but when push comes to shove all it has to sell anyone is some laptops with lipstick on them. Seriously. The company is partnered up with "renowned nail lacquer experts" OPI (which has a storied history in predicting fashionable colors for upcoming seasons, according to those in the know), More of this gadget »

If you’ve ever had a yearning for a slime covered netbook, today’s your lucky day. Dell’s Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition — which is absolutely SpongeBob-approved — is now up for order starting at $329. As for specs, it’s pretty much a standard Mini 10v underneath, with a 10.1-inch (1,024 x 600 resolution) display, Windows XP Home, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a GMA950 graphics set, WiFi, 3-cell battery, 1.3 megapixel webcam and a totally played 1.6GHz Atom processor. Oh, and a slimed lid and palm rest, which are likely the one two aspects that truly matter here.

Dell’s 11.6-inch Inspiron 11z just went on sale last month, and already the outfit is opening up the options for those not entirely pleased with the single $399 model. Starting today, a $479 configuration is available to ship with a 250GB HDD and Vista Home Premium (with a Windows 7 upgrade, of course), and if that’s still not enough, prospective customers can soon select their 11z in a variety of colors. Dell Latitude Z – Thinnest, Lightest 16-inch Notebook

Dell made its Latitude Z, the world’st thinnest, lightest 16-inch notebook PC for business users. The new CULV notebook has a lean, eye-catching design and soft-touch Black Cherry finish. The Latitude Z is boosted by either Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 1.6GHz or a SU9400 1.4GHz processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and Intel’s GMA 4500MHD graphics. More of this gadget »

It’s not every day you see something thoroughly distinct in the laptop scene — or even barely off the beaten path — so we were quite happy to behold Dell’s new Latitude Z 600 outside of the narrow confines of the FCC. The machine combines a 16-inch 1600 x 900 display with a Core 2 Duo processor and a thin (0.57-inch) and light (4.5 pounds) chassis — a rather rare trifecta. Dell’s gone with premium soft touch materials, a large multitouch touchpad, a 2 megapixel webcam with included security and document scanning (like business cards) software, and a rather novel capacitive “EdgeTouch” sensor on the side that can be tapped for a quick launch bar of apps.
