MSI introduces during the Computex 2010 its F-series stylish notebook PCs that come with a stylish and fashionable exterirors and multimedia capabilities. Five models are announced, the FX400, FX600, FX610, FX700, and FR600 that come in 14-inch to 17-inch screen sizes.

MSI’s FX400, FX600, FX700 and FR600 are powered by Intel’s Core i5 series processor while the FX610 will get AMD’s CPU. Some models will be equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GR325M dedicated graphics card with 1GB of memory. As multimedia notebooks, the F-series will also feature sound system designed by Dynaudio and THX.[msi]

In addition to the F series, MSI also brings the new G series models, the GT760 and GT660 multimedia notebooks. Powered by Intel’s new Core i7 quad-core processor, the GT760 and GT660 feature the TDE+ (Turbo Drive Engine+ technology) that gives you instant turbo, boosting the power pumped out of CPU and graphics card with a touch of the hotkey.

The GT760 and GT660 can be equipped with high-end graphics card, the 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX285M. They also offer sound by Dynaudio getting high quality speaker units with next to no coloration and an optimal sound card circuit based on speaker and system configuration. It’s a little tough to believe that it took MSI this many months to bring its X-Slim X400 from the trade show floor to the digital market place, but at long last, the outfit’s 14-inch slimster is finally on sale here in the States. For those badly in need of a refresher, $799.99 gets you a 1.3GHz SU2700 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, WXGA panel, GMA 4500MHD GPU, WiFi, 4-cell battery, HDMI / VGA ports, a pair of USB sockets, a multicard reader, external DVD burner and a three-year warranty. As expected, Vista comes loaded on, though we suspect an upgrade voucher to Windows 7 will be bundled in for good measure.

In addition to the GT640, MSI introduces the larger 17-inch GT740 Core i7 notebook PC. Like the GT640, the GT740 gets an ultra-thin aluminum alloy frame with brushed metal accents. MSI adds to its X-Slim line the X410 notebook based on AMD’s Athlon Neo processor. Thanks to the AMD Neo platform, the X410 has a lower power consumption. Other than the Athlon Neo processor, the laptop is equipped with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and ATI Radeon X1250 graphics. More of this gadget »
